Hanwha Techwin Achieve ISO 27001 Certification

Hanwha Techwin information security system has been ISO 27001 certified. This verifies the company is utilising best practice to ensure confidential company and customer data is kept secure.

UKAS_10_198x258The ISO 27001 standard covers a framework of policies and procedures which include the legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation’s information risk management processes.

“Achieving ISO 27001 certification follows on from the announcement in 2017 that Hanwha Techwin Europe had been certified as compliant with the UK Government backed Cyber Essentials scheme,” said Bob (H.Y.) Hwang Ph.D., Managing Director, Hanwha Techwin Europe. “It is just another step that we are taking to demonstrate to our customers we are taking the appropriate action to ensure we are equipped to minimise the threat from cyber attacks.

“We have a sustained testing and monitoring programme designed to identify evolving new threats to the integrity of our solutions. We are determined to be open and honest with our customers when new cyber security threats are identified and will move quickly to develop further advanced versions of our firmware to combat them.”



Cyber Essentials Scheme

Conducted by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the industry supported Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks.

Cyber-Essentials-PLUS-Badge-Large-72dpi-003The certificate awarded to Hanwha Techwin Europe verifies that it has procedures in place to minimise the threat of an attack on the IT infrastructure at the company’s headquarters in Chertsey, Surrey, and extends to cover laptops which are used by field based employees.
